WELCOME TO TURNING POINT

Turning Point Church was founded on a desire to experience God's Presence on a continual and increasing basis. For over 20 years, we have been blessed to witness the miracles, signs, wonders and blessings God has promised.

OUR STORY

OUR STORY

Turning Point began over 20 years ago, when our founding pastor, Johnny Lowrance, set out to plant a church that was empowered and thriving by the Holy Spirit. Under the direction of the Lord, together with his wife and children, they held the first service on March 2, 2003. Turning Point quickly grew as word of “God things” spread throughout the city of Murfreesboro. The heart to see people transformed by the power of God, to experience the fullness of God’s promises, was sparking a movement and establishing a revival culture. For 12 years, Pastors Johnny and Brenda Lowrance led Turning Point with an unrelenting passion for the Presence of God and an unwavering dedication to the move of His Spirit.

In 2015, the torch of leadership was passed to a spiritual son and daughter, then assistant pastors, Nathan and Ivylynn Newell. As lead pastors, they continue the heart of ministry in the Spirit and the desire for the move of God. Today, Turning Point Church is a strong, fervent and growing congregation, reaching our city and this generation with the love of Jesus.

MEET OUR LEAD PASTORS

Pastor Nathan and Ivy serve as the lead pastors of Turning Point Church. They love the Presence of God and the people of Murfreesboro. They have five amazing children: Joshua, Elisha, Zion, Judah and Selah. As a family they enjoy music, baseball, hiking and gardening. Serving together in the church is their greatest joy and passion. They are building on a strong foundation with a great vision for the future.
